Leanne Gregory, 36, from Nottinghamshire, died trying to rescue her two sons after they were swept into the ocean by a riptide off Bimini in the Bahamas on Tuesday. The family had arrived for an early celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary; her husband Nathan said both boys were snorkelling in shallow water when the current pulled them out, and the entire crisis unfolded in less than ten minutes. The children were rescued, but Gregory was found unresponsive at the ferry dock and could not be revived. Nathan, who knew her since infant school, described her as a hero who saved their sons at the cost of her own life.
