KYIV UNDER FIRE: Russia Targets Pivdennyi Bridge as Metro Train Crosses...

Russia struck Kyiv's Pivdennyi Bridge with drones on Thursday morning, hitting a central support pillar as a metro train crossed—the first time the capital's bridges have been targeted in this war. The attack forced metro suspensions and marked an escalation in Moscow's campaign against Ukrainian infrastructure, coming as Russia has also renewed coordinated strikes on power plants after a pause since spring. Though authorities found no critical structural damage, the strike demonstrated Russia's expanding capability and willingness to strike civilian infrastructure even when schools and transit systems are in active use.
