HBO REVIVAL: Crazy Rich Asians Returns as Series With Original Cast — Wu, Golding, Yeoh...

The 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians grossed over $200 million worldwide, and Warner Bros. is betting audiences will follow the characters to HBO. Constance Wu, Henry Golding, and Ronny Chieng return for an eight-episode first season, with Adele Lim—the film's co-writer who famously rejected a sequel offer after being paid a fraction of her male counterpart's salary—now running the show as executive producer. The series adapts Kevin Kwan's book trilogy, offering Lim the creative control that Hollywood initially denied her.
