Spanish Drummer Performs Nine Inch Nails Song Hearing It Live...

Spanish drummer Jorge Garrido, known online as El Estepario Siberiano, tackled Nine Inch Nails' "The Hand That Feeds" cold for Drumeo's challenge series, admitting before he started that he was terrified. After hearing only the instrumental track stripped of drums, he initially mistook the song's industrial sound for grunge, then struggled through multiple takes while reworking his setup. When told the track was Nine Inch Nails—a band he said he'd never heard—Garrido compared his interpretation against Trent Reznor's programmed original, finding unexpected common ground in tom patterns despite their vastly different approaches.
