COLD CASE BREAKTHROUGH: Police Re-examine CCTV From Jill Dando Murder 25 Years Later...

A BBC newsreader shot on her Fulham doorstep in April 1999, Jill Dando's murder remains one of Britain's most famous unsolved cases despite one of the largest investigations ever launched. The Met Police will now use advanced CCTV enhancement technology to re-examine footage from Putney Bridge station, which captured an unidentified man running near the scene 20 minutes after the shooting. Barry George spent eight years in prison after conviction before his acquittal in 2008, while numerous suspects including her partner and agent were cleared. The force stressed this review should not be read as a new investigation, but as standard progress through technological advances.
